VIDYALAYA AT A GLANCE

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) was created to establish, manage and control Kendriya Vidyalayas to cater to the needs of transferable Central Government employees and also for other segments of population. They are run by Ministry of HRD, GOVT. of INDIA KV D.G.Q.A. Chennai was established on 31 Oct 1984 in the D.G.Q.A. complex. It was started with 150 students from classes I to V. The school was shiftted to the new building on 20 Aug 1997. At present there are over 1300 students. The staff strength is 58. Science and humanities streams available at senior secondary level.
